Workshop addresses Alzheimer’s issues

The Alzheimer’s Association’s Heart of America Chapter will be offering a free, two-part workshop in Lawrence for caregivers, family members and friends of people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.

The workshop will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Aug. 31, in Conference Room A at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 325 Maine.

The first session will provide a disease overview and resources that are available in the community. The second session will focus on legal issues such as division of assets, spousal impoverishment, powers of attorney, guardianship and living wills.
