Lawrence woman injured Monday morning in single-car accident

A 37-year-old Lawrence woman was injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident on the Kansas Turnpike west of Lawrence.

According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority, the woman was driving westbound about 8:25 a.m. when her 2003 Toyota passenger car hydroplaned and struck a wall near milepost 189, about halfway between Lawrence and Topeka.

The woman was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The woman’s medical condition was unavailable Monday night.
