August 17, 2009

Douglas County Senior Services will put on its third annual tea and fall fashion show from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 12 at Maceli’s, 1031 N.H.

Models will preview the newest fall fashions from Weaver’s Department Store, 901 Mass.

The event is sponsored by both Weaver’s and the Kansas University School of Pharmacy. Proceeds will benefit Douglas County Senior Services.

Event organizers said last year’s event raised $7,000, and the goal this year is $10,000.

Tickets cost $25 and must be purchased in advance at the senior services office, 745 Vt., or at Headlines Salon, 520 W. 23rd St., Suite D. For more information, call 842-0543.
