Area residents selected for ag leadership class

The Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership board of directors has selected 30 new members for the statewide program’s leadership study, training and travel.

New class members include Clint Hornberger of Baldwin City, farmer/rancher with C-Ho Farms Inc. and CJH Foods LLC, and a member of the Douglas County Farm Bureau; Steven Miles of Lawrence, Leavenworth County real estate appraiser; and Damon New, Tonganoxie, senior vice president of First State Bank & Trust.

Class X members will begin their two-year training experience this fall and participate in nine in-state seminars. They will also attend a national Blue Chip seminar, tour the halls of federal government in Washington, D.C., and end their training in 2011 with an international study tour of Vietnam.
