Wellness checked at senior center
A free wellness clinic will be offered from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vt.
People 50 or older can get their blood pressure and hearing checked. Health professionals will be available to answer general health and wellness questions.
Kansas University School of Pharmacy students and a pharmacist from Walgreens will be available to review nonprescription and prescription medications and answer questions about drugs.
The clinic is being facilitated by Aynsley Anderson, community education coordinator at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
