Outdoor Kids Day is Saturday at Clinton

Clinton State Park will be hosting its annual Outdoor Kids Day this Saturday. There will be events throughout the day, including a fishing derby, an animal “show-n-tell” featuring snakes, turtles and lizards, as well as two prize drawings.

The events are free, and there will be free entry into the park on Saturday and Sunday.

Events include:

• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Fishing Derby at Lake Henry, registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Poles and bait will be provided.

• 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Animal “show-n-tell” at shelter No. 6 in campground No. 3. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.

• 11 a.m. and 7:45 p.m.: Prize drawings. Kids can register for the drawings at both registrations.
