Three “Small Town Big Cause” 5K run-or-walk events will benefit the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association.

The Saturday events, which begin at 8 a.m. will be:

• Aug. 22 in Baldwin City at the Baldwin City Golf Course, 1500 South St.

• Sept. 26 at Family Medicine of Tonganoxie, 410 Woodfield.

• Oct. 17 at Eudora Parks and Recreation Center, 1638 Elm St.

The cost is $25 for one event, $45 for two and $65 for three. Awards will be presented to the first-place male and female, top three finishers overall and in six age groups.

There will be drawings for prizes and information about community wellness activities.

The mission of the LMH Endowment Association is to secure private gifts and financial support for medical education, research, land acquisition and unique hospital programs.
