To the editor:

I’m concerned about our recyclers in Lawrence. As most of us know, the recycling center at Wal-Mart is closed on Tuesdays, as advertised in the Journal-World and posted on the outside walls at the center. But there are quite a number of so-called recyclers who refuse to follow rules and have the respect of coming back on the days after, when the center is open. They are leaving their goods outside of the windows on the ground for others to pick up (employees and morning recyclers, like myself).

You know who you are. It is a total nasty mess on Wednesday mornings. Adults are supposed to set examples and follow the rules. How would the citizens of Lawrence react if they were caught on camera and charged a fine for littering? I can imagine how some of them keep house.

Please respect the privilege we have at our nice CLEAN FACILITY. Use better judgment or just don’t recycle.
