The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will be host to a free garden tour at 9 a.m. on Friday at the Union Pacific Depot, 402 N. Second St.

During the tour, a horticulturist will teach participants about the development of gardens and how to successfully make a healthy flower garden. The tour is expected to last about 45 minutes.
