Background: If tradition holds, Rob Chestnut will be elected mayor in the first meeting after Tuesday’s City Commission elections because he is serving as vice mayor. Mike Amyx, the top vote-winner in the election, would be elected vice-mayor under City Commission protocol. The meeting will be the last for Commissioners Sue Hack and Boog Highberger, who chose not to seek re-election.
