Lawrence High pitcher Albert Minnis struck out 12 as the Lions baseball team shut out Shawnee Mission Northwest, 2-0, tonight at Ice Field.

Minnis gave up only two hits and walked none.

Over at Free State, Mike Lisher was 2-for-3 with two doubles as the Firebirds defeated Olathe Northwest, 4-2.
