The game’s not over for Free State High School Senior Lauren Thames.

She is in the Elite 8 for a national online scholarship competition sponsored by the Web site Zinch.com.

Students from across the country have been competing for the most online votes to win a $20,000 scholarship.

Voting for the Elite 8 ends at 10 a.m. Monday and only one vote can be cast per e-mail account for each round.

Thames, who plans to attend Baker University, was chosen from 100,000 applicants to be in the 64-student bracket, which is modeled after the NCAA basketball tournament.

She has since advanced through three rounds of voting to be one of eight students remaining.
