Manhattan ? Free State’s High swim team won nine of 12 events Wednesday and won the Manhattan Invitational.

Free State totaled 448 points to 389 for Manhattan, 342 for Maize and 110 for Junction City.

The Firebirds placed 1-2-3 in the 200 freestyle (Molly Albrecht, Morgan Flannigan and Kayla Hedges), the 200 individual medley (Heather Clark, Adriane Black and Kara Mishler) and the 500 freestyle (Flannigan, Hedges and Black).
