Salina Vortex president to speak in Lawrence

Jeff Thompson, Salina Vortex president and CEO, will speak about the company’s success in marketing valves all over the world at a breakfast seminar at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Alvamar Country Club, 1800 Crossgate Drive, Lawrence.

Salina Vortex supplies valves that handle dry bulk material to a global network of original equipment manufactures, Fortune 500 companies and process engineering firms.

Thompson has had various management positions with Chrysler Finance and Koch Industries. He is also on the board of Capitol Federal Savings.

The cost for the seminar is $10 for students and $15 for adults.
