The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library’s annual book sale will run from Thursday through Oct. 5.

The sale will kick off with Members Only Night, set for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Memberships are $10 for individuals and $15 for families and can be purchased at the door the night of the sale.

The sale is open to all book buyers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Half-price day is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Monday night – from 5 to 8 – is $7 bag night, and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 is $5 bag night.

The sale concludes with giveaway days – all books are free – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 5.

Proceeds will help finance summer reading programs, author visits, material purchases and Internet access at the Lawrence Public Library.

The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library have raised $500,000 since 2000.
