Pro wildlife
To the editor:
There are many things about Sarah Palin with which I don’t agree; the biggest issue is her claim to be pro-life.
In her very short term as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin has pushed for the aerial killing of Alaskan wildlife. She proposed paying a $150 bounty on each dead wolf. They have already killed nearly 800 wolves. This is barbaric!
Palin doesn’t believe in global warming despite evidence to the contrary. One of the species negatively affected by global warming is the polar bear, since they depend on sea ice for survival. Polar bears, with their cubs, have frequently been observed this year swimming in open water with nothing but slush for miles around. Polar bears are expected to face the sad fate of extinction in the next 50 years. In May of this year, Sarah Palin sued the U.S. government for placing the polar bear under the protection of the Endangered Species Act.
Palin cannot use the term pro-life when she is responsible for the deaths of many species.
