Spring Hill ? Free State High boys soccer coach Jason Pendleton recorded his 100th career victory Friday, and the Firebirds made sure it was memorable for more than just the milestone.

Free State routed Spring Hill, 8-0, as five different Firebirds scored.

Daniel Chance and Diego Gonzalez each scored two goals, while Dale Shillington, Tyler Hatesohl and Parker Liebl added one apiece.

Liebl and Chance also chipped in with assists and were joined by Preston Newsome, Jake Frydman and Brock Norwood.

The Spring Hill defense knocked a goal into its own net to round out the scoring.

The victory improves FSHS to 2-1-1 on the season. Next up, Free State plays at 7:45 Monday night at Shawnee Mission North.
