Olathe ? Two gymnasts from Lawrence finished first and second in the all-around competition Wednesday at the Olathe North quad.

Free State’s Kelcy Bowers took first with a score of 34.65, edging out Lawrence High’s Maria Carvajal, who was second with 32.75.

The strong showing led the Firebirds to a second-place finish. LHS, which sent just three girls to the meet, did not receive a team score.
