Olathe Free State High's boys soccer team lost its first game of the season Monday night, a 1-0 setback to Olathe Northwest.
The game was scoreless until the 73rd minute, when Northwest scored the only goal with less than seven minutes to play.
"We battled until the end, and their goalkeeper had to make two huge saves in the last five minutes, but we were unable to get an equalizer," Free State coach Jason Pendleton said.
The loss dropped FSHS to 1-1-1 on the season.
