Omaha, Neb. ? Free State High’s girls placed first and the boys second at Saturday’s Millard South Cross Country Invitational.

Kyra Kilwein placed second overall in 15:12. Lynn Robinson was eighth (16:25) and Hayley Francis ninth (16:28) for Free State, which topped Millard North, 48 points to 77.

Logan Sloan won the boys competition in 16:53. He was the only top 10 Firebird finisher. Kain Anderson placed 12th overall. Papillion La Vista won with 62 points to the Firebirds’ 79.
