Presbyterian Manor prepares for fundraiser
Lawrence Presbyterian Manor’s annual fall fundraiser is next week.
A silent and live auction along with homemade soup and pie will be Tuesday at the manor, 1429 Kasold Drive. The silent auction will be from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The live auction will begin at 6 p.m. Auction items include gift certificates, gift baskets and Kansas University football and basketball tickets.
Tickets for soup and pie will be $5 a person and may be purchased at the door beginning at 5 p.m.
The 15th annual golf tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Eagle Bend, with a box lunch and registration. The shotgun start will be at 1 p.m. with first- and second-place cash prizes for three flights. The fee is $125 a golfer.
The events benefit the Lawrence Presbyterian Manor’s Good Samaritan Program and special projects. Lawrence Presbyterian Manor is a nonprofit continuing care retirement community.
