Local photographer’s work is honored
Deb Stavin, an American fine art photographer based in Lawrence, won eight honorable mentions in the 2008 International Photo Awards competition.
The 2008 IPA contest received more than 22,000 submissions from 124 countries and seeks to recognize the achievements of the world’s finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography.
Stavin is a self-taught artist who has photographed subjects in Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Vietnam, Ghana, Guatemala and India.
