The volunteers will work under the guidance of a group leader to provide the children with supervision and activities. Volunteers must commit to eight weeks from Sept. 24 to Nov. 12 for two hours a week from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.

Call Charlotte at 830-1778 for more information.

¢ Meals On Wheels currently has openings for six to eight regular volunteer drivers.

Drivers deliver meals one day a week, to no more than six Lawrence residents. The whole process takes an hour or less. Twenty substitute drivers are also needed to cover regular drivers when they need a day off; substitutes can drive daily, once a week or once a month. Volunteers must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult and have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. For more information call 830-8844.

¢ Lawrence Memorial Hospital is looking for customer service-oriented, energetic people to be a part of a caring team of health-care providers.

Volunteers give a three to six month commitment for three to four hours a week to provide service to patients, visitors, fellow volunteers and staff members. Contact Allyson Leland for more information at allyson.leland@lmh.org.

¢ The Salvation Army needs three to four food pantry/cafeteria assistants year-round from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to help prepare, serve and clean up for the lunch program, or assist with the food pantry and distribution.
