Local residents should be aware that someone might be going door-to-door falsely trying to solicit money for the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence.

The club had heard of a few reports of such incidents recently, said Erika Zimmerman, director of development at the club.

Boys & Girls Club doesn’t condone going door-to-door to solicit funds, Zimmerman said. The organization conducts two major fundraisers, but they don’t include door-to-door solicitation, she said.
