New partner joins Stevens & Brand

Wesley F. Smith has joined the law firm of Stevens & Brand, 900 Mass., as a partner after 10 years of private law practice in Topeka.
As a partner at Stevens & Brand, Smith will continue to emphasize his practice on bankruptcy, debtor and creditors' rights and banking law.
Smith is a past president of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section of the Kansas Bar Association, where he now serves as a Continuing Legal Education committee chairperson.
Smith has taught commercial law since 2002 at Kansas University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1997.
