Ogden Publications Inc. has recently hired Steve Sabran, Lawrence, as its advertising sales manager for two of its key rural-lifestyle titles, Mother Earth News and Grit.

Sabran will provide mentoring and training for his advertising sales team in addition to managing contract negotiations, developing new sales strategies and overseeing overall advertising sales and profitability for both magazines.

Sabran graduated from Kent State University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education.

Mother Earth News covers topics such as cutting energy costs, using renewable energy, organic gardening, green home building and do-it-yourself projects, and Grit magazine offers practical articles, product reviews and a complete guide to life outside the city limits.
