St. Pat’s committee names beneficiaries
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee announced four beneficiaries of its 2009 funding campaign Tuesday at Capital City Bank in downtown Lawrence.
The four organizations are the Lawrence High School Positive Support Team, the GaDuGi SafeCenter, Lawrence Parents as Teachers, and the Boys and Girls Club of New York School. The committee will provide the LHS Positive Support Team with a grant of $1,000. GaDuGi will receive $5,500, and Lawrence Parents as Teachers and the Boys and Girls Club will equally share the remaining funds.
Organizations must apply and make presentations to be considered as recipients.
The committee has raised more than $479,000 for local charities in the last 22 years.
