Spencer Museum to hold Halloween party Thursday night

The Spencer Museum of Art will host a student-themed party Thursday that will be tied to Halloween.

The annual fall student night is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the museum, 1301 Miss.

With the theme of “Time Warp,” the event keys off the fall theme at the museum with exhibits “Wendell Castle: About Time” and “Time/Frame.”

Costumes are encouraged but not required for Thursday’s event, which is free and open to the public.

Other activities will include games, DJ DerekZ, glow necklaces and supplies for attendees to make masks. Prizes will be available for best costume and best jack-o-lantern. Pumpkin entries should be delivered to the museum between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday.

The event precedes a screening of “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which will be at 8:30 p.m. at the Kansas Union. The movie is sponsored by Student Union Activities.
