To the editor:

No more rags to riches! Obama has already said that he will greatly raise the taxes on the rich to give to others. That is a form of socialism that is dangerous. I am a middle-class person. I have also been an entrepreneur. I know that if a ceiling is set on my income at which I will be taxed very high, I will not have the incentive to create more income, hire more middle-class workers.

Obama has set that limit at $250,000. Most entrepreneurs I know want to make a lot more than that to induce them to take the risks that normal workers do not have to take. That will result in far fewer new businesses being started. That is what happens in countries like Sweden and France.

Also, if Obama is elected, he will be a Democrat with a Democratic Congress. There will be no checks or balances. That is what happened from 2000 to 2006 when the Republicans had that situation. Historically, when that happens, the government spending always goes up dramatically.
