Division chief to serve on committee
Rich Barr, division chief for Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical, was recently appointed as Principle International Association of Fire Chiefs’ representative to the National Fire Protection Association’s north-central region Fire Code Development Committee.
The committee is instrumental in developing fire codes that will be used across the country.
The NFPA is an international nonprofit organization established in 1896 to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards by providing and advocating for consensus codes and standards.
