The board of directors of the GridWise Alliance recently awarded Rep. Tom Sloan, R-Lawrence, the Smart Grid Policy Leadership Award at its annual GridWeek conference in Washington, D.C.
Sloan was the only state legislator to be honored at the conference, where he also presided on a panel of leaders who were recognized for leadership in developing comprehensive infrastructure upgrades to the nation's energy grid.
