LMH offers classes for cancer patients

The American Cancer Society and Lawrence Memorial Hospital are offering a series of educational classes for people with cancer and their families and friends.

The “I Can Cope” classes are the fourth Thursday of each month. Doctors, nurses and other health care representatives provide straightforward, factual cancer information and answers to questions.

The next class will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, 325 Maine St., in the lower level meeting room A. The topic will be understanding cancer treatments.

There is no charge for the class, and refreshments will be served.
