Friends of the Kaw is conducting its annual fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 28.

The nonprofit organization, dedicated to preserving the Kansas River, is set to entertain donors at Springhill Suites by Marriott, 1 Riverfront Plaza, with appetizers, a cash bar, holiday shopping opportunities and a presentation on the recent Kaw River Inventory Float.

Tickets cost $40 per person, and reservations must be made by Tuesday. Tickets can be purchased by calling Riverkeeper Laura Calwell at (785) 312-7200.
