Upcoming forum to focus on Alzheimer’s disease
November is National Family Caregiver Month.
So, three Lawrence service organizations are teaming up to provide communication tips for caregivers and the community.
Representatives from the Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging, Heart of America Hospice and Alzheimer’s Association Heart of America Chapter will have a panel discussion from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.
The panel will discuss how to communicate with people who have Alzheimer’s disease. It also will provide tips for caregivers on how to seek help. It also will offer tips for those who want to offer help.
