Sweet and Salty Popcorn
Popcorn can be a healthful, high-fiber snack, provided you use a reduced-fat brand, which is also often lower in sodium. From chef-owner Todd Gray of Equinox restaurant in Washington:
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons granulated maple sugar
1 3- to 3.5-ounce bag microwave popcorn
Sea salt
Directions: Place the maple sugar in a large bowl. Pop the popcorn according to package directions. Add the popped popcorn to the maple sugar and toss vigorously until the popcorn is evenly coated. Season with sea salt to taste. Serve immediately. Serves 4.
