An Amber Alert was issued by Illinois State Police this evening for two children abducted in Decatur, Ill.

Heather M. Carter, 11, and Darien C. Vest, 7, were taken from a residence at 2140 E. Clay St. in Decatur, Ill., at about 5 p.m. this evening.

They were last seen with Brent A. Vest, 30, who is reportedly driving a 1993 grey Nissan pick-up truck, bearing the Illinois license plate number 12958M. Brent Vest is 5-foot-9, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Heather is 5-foot-5, 80 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.

Darien Vest is 4-foot-10, 60 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

There is no indication that they are in the Lawrence area. Anyone who sees the trio is urged to call 911.
