‘Swingtime’ concert to benefit Hospice

A program of standards will benefit the Lawrence chapter of Hospice.
The concert, "Swingtime and Coffee," is at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, 946 Vt.
Performers include Fran Hopkins, Curtis Marsh, Sarah Young, Alfred Lata, Don Mueller, Jim Tuchscherer, Sarah Beach, Robin Miller, Nancy Gibbens and Michael Stephenson.
They'll be singing selections from "Kiss Me Kate," "The Merry Widow" and other shows.
The concert is free, but donations will be accepted for Hospice, which provides care to the terminally ill.
