Lawrence native to sign children’s book

Greg Kincaid, a Lawrence native, will sign copies of his first novel, “A Dog Named Christmas,” during an event Dec. 3 at Borders, 700 N.H.

Kincaid, an attorney who lives in western Johnson County, wrote about a developmentally disabled young man who learns of a local shelter’s need to provide homes for their dogs during the days leading to Christmas. He selects a dog and names him Christmas. Then, the two are on a quest to find holiday homes for the other dogs in the shelter.

Kincaid will discuss the book, which was published by Random House, and sign copies at 7 p.m. Dec. 3.
