Chamber, KU center offer ‘thriving’ advice

The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce and Kansas University’s Small Business Development Center will conduct a seminar and roundtable discussion, “Thriving in a Challenging Economy,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the center, 734 Vt.

Will Katz, the center’s director, will outline specific strategies for businesses. Among the questions to be answered: What should your business be doing right now to be in a position to survive, and even thrive, in the coming months and years?

Katz also will lead a roundtable discussion, during which group participation will be encouraged.

The event is free, and organizers ask that anyone interested make reservations early, as seating is limited. Lunch will be provided. For more information or to make a reservation, call 843-8844.
