Free State High defeated Shawnee Mission Northwest, 41-21, in Friday’s Class 6A football playoff game at Haskell Stadium.

The Firebirds scored 20 points in the fourth quarter en route to victory.

Lawrence High, meanwhile, fell to Blue Valley High, 42-23, at BVHS. Clifton Sims scored three TDs for the Lions.
