Lawrence volunteers raise earthquake funds
China ? On May 24 more than 100 volunteers in Lawrence helped raise $11,412 for survivors of the earthquakes in Sichuan Province, China. The money raised will be used by the Red Cross in China.
Volunteers accepted donations throughout Lawrence with assistance from several businesses and the Douglas County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
