BWCU offers Financial Survival Camp

BWCU will offer an edition of its Financial Survival Camp this year in Lawrence.

The Lawrence session of the youth event – open to students in fifth to eighth grades – will be conducted July 15 at West Junior High School, 2700 Harvard Road.

Financial Survival Camp is an opportunity for youths to learn personal finance in an entertaining and enjoyable atmosphere, organizers say. Lessons on the importance of credit, money management, balancing a checkbook and savings goals will be covered.

The camps are open to the public and applications can be found online at www.bwcu.com, or at BWCU’s two branches in Lawrence, at 643 Mass. and 4821 W. Sixth St.

Cost is $5, which is then put into a savings account opened for the child.
