A man was injured and taken to a Kansas City area hospital following a fight early Friday morning outside a Lawrence bar, Lawrence police said.

At 2 a.m. police responded to a disturbance call in the 1500 block of West Fifth Street where they found the injured man, police spokesman Sgt. Paul Fellers said.

The 21-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and then flown to a Kansas City area hospital, Fellers said. His condition was not available.

Investigating officers learned that at least two people became involved in an argument inside Jet Lag Lounge, 610 Fla. They later met outside and the victim may have been struck in the head with an object causing him to fall. Someone also may have driven a vehicle over the victim’s legs, Fellers said.
