Lawrence Hose and Hydraulic Supply Inc. now has a second location, this one in Basehor.

Owner Dan Lowery opened the new place last month, looking to expand on the company’s nine years of providing hose assemblies – that’s fittings, couplings, adapters and hoses – for agricultural, industrial, off-road and even personal equipment.

The new shop is at 14500 Parallel Parkway, about a half mile west of Kansas Highway 7 and about five miles away from the Kansas Speedway, Legends shopping center and other current and anticipated projects nearby.

“We’re out on the frontier, where the construction is,” he said, noting that other such businesses tend to be closer to Kansas City’s urban center. “We’re where all the construction is coming toward us, instead of away from us.”
