Bush, GOP

To the editor:

With the lowest approval ratings of any sitting president in modern history, Mr. Bush continues to make statements that prove the adage that it is far, far better to be thought a fool than to speak and prove it. However, he continues to talk and act as though he is determined to take what is left of the Republican Party with him when he leaves office.

His previous actions have already given the Democrats both houses of Congress. Now he seems determined to sweep away what remains of the party that brought him to office in the first place, even in the Deep South. Now that was really a shocker. So now we know that only a complete fool can lose the general election for president to any Republican candidate. So now all we can do is wait and see which one the Democrats pick.
