To the editor:

As the school year comes to a close, I find myself looking back and wanting to share with everyone what a great experience my family has had with all the staff at East Heights Early Childhood Center. East Heights is full of amazing teachers and great staff.

As a parent, there was never a time that I wasn’t greeted with a friendly smile. Any question I had, no matter how small, was always answered and I was provided with ideas and resources that were very helpful to my family. My son was in Mr. Immel’s kindergarten readiness classroom, and I can’t find the words to explain what a great teacher Jim Immel is. He was born to teach, and anyone lucky enough to have a child spend time in his class should take notes. I know that watching him interact with his kids has made me a better parent.

I can only hope that my family’s time spent with the Lawrence public school system continues to be as wonderful as this last year has been. East Heights has set the bar very high! A big thanks to everyone. Keep up the great work. It’s noticed more than you probably realize.
