Kelvin Heck, broker, senior vice president and principal for Grubb & Ellis|The Winbury Group, Lawrence, has been appointed Central Region director for the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

The society is a professional organization serving more than 3,200 members in 562 cities in 22 countries.

His two-year appointment begins in October.

The region represents 10 states, including Kansas.

Heck and Marilyn Bittenbender, also broker, senior vice president and principal for Grubb & Ellis|The Winbury Group, attended the society’s spring convention April 23-26 in Washington, D.C.

Among the educational sessions they attended: Investment Property Marketplace, Corporate Services LEED Certification, and Tenant Representation.
