Astronomy Associates of Lawrence will celebrate Astronomy Day 2008 with two events from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.

The first event at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt., will feature displays and activities, information about the club, movies at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and an opportunity to observe the sun through safety telescopes. The second event will be at the Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 Harper St., using telescopes and guided tours to observe the night sky.
