Boring justice

To the editor:

Last Wednesday, I drove across town to attend the speech by Chief Justice Roberts at the Lied Center. It consisted of 45 excruciating minutes of his reading an article, obviously written by a bored law clerk, on the Louisiana Purchase.

I had really hoped that he would address a timely, hot-button issue of interest to us all, such as the War of 1812.

I wish I had my gallon of gas back.
