What a wonderful photo and article on the front page of the April 29 paper.
Congratulations on such a great haul of the elusive morel mushroom. I would like to point out that morels should be collected in a mesh bag. As your quest for morels continues you will be walking around dropping spores and repopulating the forest with morels. It’s also a good idea to cut the stem or pinch it off leaving the root intact so the morel will grow again. Besides, who wants to bring home all that dirt. Happy hunting.
